Course Description:

Upon completion of the course, the participants will be able to:

  • Demonstrate concepts and principles of patient assessment
  • Establish management priorities in trauma situations
  • Initiate primary and secondary management necessary in the first hour of emergency care for acute life
    threatening emergencies
  • Demonstrate the skills necessary in initial management of trauma victims, including ,
  • Initial assessment of victims with multiple injuries
  • Shock management
  • intubation & Cricothyroidotomy
  • Pleural decompression and chest tube insertion
  • Extremity and spinal immobilization
  • Head trauma management

The highlight of the course is real-life trauma simulation that gives the participants and opportunity to use
the theory & skills they have learnt during the course.
