Course Objectives:
Upon completion of the program, the participants will be able to
- have a problem based approach to gas exchange,
- set up a ventilator and understand the different modes of ventilation,
- learn how to monitor ventilated patients, ventilate patients with specific diseases ( COPD /ARDS/Bronchial Asthma),
- Troubleshoot the mechanically ventilated patient,
- have a practical approach to wean patients off the ventilator,
- understand and use the non-invasive ventilation and use appropriate interfaces, Understand approach to antibiotic use in pulmonary infections in critically ill patients.
- have Hands on practice for setting up a ventilator and trouble shooting, basic Airway Management, fiber
optic bronchoscopic Intubation, Non-invasive ventilation.
- The highlight of the course is the simulated case scenarios
