Course Objectives:

On completion of the course, the students will be able to:

  • Develop knowledge and skills necessary to efficiently and effectively manage critically ill children
  • recognize and treat children at risk for cardiopulmonary arrest
  • learn a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, intraosseous access and fluid bolus administration
  • Provide CPR for children
  • Use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) safely and effectively
