Dr. N. Ramakrishnan, Managing Director, is American Board Certified in Internal Medicine & Critical Care Medicine and a certified sleep specialist. He is a Fellow of American College of Physicians, American College of Chest Physicians and American College of Critical Care Physicians, and also has a Master’s degree in Medical Management from University of Southern California, USA. He has been practicing Critical Care Medicine for over 10 years and Sleep Medicine for over 7 years and is currently Senior Consultants in Critical Care & Sleep Medicine and Director, Critical Care Services for Apollo Group of Hospitals, which is the first and largest corporate hospital in India.He is the brain behind Utopian Healthcare Private Limited, a registered healthcare company since 2002, which
prides itself in starting the first-of-its-kind freestanding comprehensive center for education and training, and diagnosis and management of sleep disorders in India; Nithra Institute of Sleep Sciences. As the Director of this institute, he ensures that in addition to providing quality clinical care, regular training programs and annual conference are also offered under the banner of Nithra Association of Professionals in Sleep medicine (NAPS). He is also the Managing Director of the Chennai Critical-Care Consultants Group (CCCG) the first group practice of Intensivists established at Apollo Hospitals, Chennai.

Dr. Ramakrishnan is a member of several professional societies and holds a position in the Executive Committee of Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine. He is a respected teacher and clinician and is an honorary professor at Sri Ramachandra Medical College & Research Institute, Chennai (A Harvard affiliated institution) and also at the Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences. He has published original research papers, authored guidelines, editorials and books and has been an invited faculty for several conferences in India and overseas.
