Course Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this course, the participant should be able to:
- Recognize and initiate early management of peri-arrest states
- Demonstrate proficiency in providing BLS care, including prioritizing chest compressions
- Recognize and manage cardiac arrest until the return of spontaneous circulation
- Understand the impact of effective team dynamics on overall team performance
- Understand and perform defibrillation and transcutaneous pacing
- Gain an understanding of the drugs used for resuscitation
- Be able to appropriately manage the airway of a cardiac arrest victim
- Successfully answer the questions at the completion of course and will successfully pass skills test by demonstrating their competency of CPR for adults and the use of the Automated External Defibrillator
(AED) & Mega code testing
